At Paris Fashion Week Hedi Slimane creates a mysterious fashion occasion with Saint Laurent!

“A designer who is not a couturier, who hasn’t learned the most refined mysteries of physically creating his models, is like a sculptor who gives his drawings to another man, an artisan, to accomplish.- Yves Saint Laurent

The Saint Laurent fashion show during PFW (Paris Fashion Week) was the place to be.  Basically, there weren’t enough seats for the who’s who in the fashion world; like most shows going on around the artsy city.  Hedi Slimane, the new creative director of Saint Laurent sent the woman down seriously resembling attractive sexy witches donning huge black hats.  Slimane is a fan of photography so the camera really loved these clothes!  Also, the lines’ rock and roll look makes it so desirable and youthful.  And what better music to serenade this fashion show but rock and roll by the Daft Punk band!  Overall, I think these looks are fierce and can be easily put together with creativity and a little imagination!!!  How do you think Slimane did with his debut line at Saint Laurent?  Please let me know!  Until next time…rock on!!!!!

  • I love it! The looks are so feminine, but how the clothes drape the body makes them edgy! I like how he’s taken looks that aren’t necessarily signature or innovative mixed them all up and put his own spin on it. Particularly in the last outfit. He took boyfriend cut trousers with a 70’s inspired blouse with a contrasting tie and a blazer much like one you’ve seen the first lady of your church wear on many occasions. Then he tops it off with a hat he stole from Diane Keaton’s closet and a perfect pair of YSL stilettos! I ❤ it! I've always loved YSL. This is why I'm not skinny, because I would be broke!
